Speech and Language Therapy

Comprehensive evaluation and treatment for a variety of speech and language delays and disorders, including speech sound disorders, apraxia of speech, language, auditory processing, pragmatic language, word finding, stuttering, and voice disorders.  Amy believes that a collaborative approach is essential to client progress. She prioritizes including families and caregivers in the therapeutic process and enjoys connecting with other therapists and school-based personnel to promote progress and generalization of skills across settings.

Social Communication Services

A variety of social communication services and supports are offered, including structured individual and group sessions for elementary, middle, and high school students as well as social “coaching” sessions for college students and young adults.  Amy encourages clients to identify their own personal social goals and motivations and develops therapeutic interventions and activities utilizing an individualized strengths-based approach.  Amy is a PEERS (UCLA) certified provider and also infuses many other evidence-based treatment methods into her work with clients.

Literacy and Learning Support

Assessment and intervention for students in need of literacy support, development of executive functioning skills (planning, organizing, working memory, time management), and other academic skills such as listening and note-taking, annotating, study skills, and test-taking strategies. Amy has extensive training in a variety of treatment methods including Lindamood Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing, Spell-Links to Reading & Writing, Sarah Ward, and University of Kansas Strategies.
